RGarrison Strategic Risk Management safety and health specialists are experienced, well-trained professionals whose goals are to ensure compliance with local, federal and state regulations and help employers and employees reduce on-the-job hazards and prevent injuries, illnesses, and deaths in the work place.

 

David F. Barragan, President of RGarrison, Strategic Risk Management

Prior to working at RGarrison, he was the West Coast Regional Safety Director for 7 Marine Corps Bases and stations throughout California and Arizona. He has evaluated and helped control a broad range of safety issues to employers and employees. In addition, Mr. Barragan was the pinnacle in the reduction of mishaps and the change of the safety culture. He oversaw safety awareness education and training for half-a-million military and civilian personnel. He is a certified OSH instructor, Safety and Health manager from University of California San Diego, additionally Mr. Barragan is certified through the American Society of Safety Engineers for Managing the Business Aspects of Safety and has a BS in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources management.

Roger Schechinger, Senior Vice President of RGarrison, Strategic Risk Management

Extensive background in the safety field with over 15 years experience. Prior to working at RGarrison, he managed the safety department for one of the largest Divisions in the Marine Corps. He supervised the Inspection and Compliance branch for Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Ca. and was directly responsible for the inspections of over 8,000 facilities. He is certified as an Occupational Safety and Health Instructor for both General Industry and Construction Industry from the University of California, San Diego.

John J. Darlak, Senior Occupational Safety and Health Specialist (OSH)

With over 15 years safety experience in Strategic Risk Management, prior to working at RGarrison, he was the Safety Officer for Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, directly and indirectly responsible to the Safety Director and the education and training of over 250,000 employers and employees. He is a certified Occupational Safety and Health Instructor for both General Industry and Construction safety from the University of California San Diego and has a M.S. in Occupational Safety and Health from the Columbia Southern University.


Eric W. Shafer, Construction Safety Manager (CHST)

Eric brings over 24 years of construction safety experience and is the (OCIP) Construction Safety Manager for a 1.1 billion airport project. He is a certified Construction Health and Safety Technician, (CHST), Certified Environmental Compliance Manager, (CECM), Certified Hazardous Materials Specialist and has his General Engineering Contractors License for the state of California.


Victor Lamb, Construction Safety Manager (CHST)

Is a certified Construction Health and Safety Technician, (CHST) with over 15 Years of safety management experience in Construction and General Industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and Manufacturing Systems from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Environmental and a Health and Safety Program Management Certificate from the Institute for Environmental Technology and Education. Victor is currently the (OCIP) Construction Safety Manager for a city school district project.


Jeff Paquin, Construction Safety Manager

Jeff has over 15 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction safety management, along with a strong commitment to educating project members in the latest safety techniques. Specializing in large scale projects, Jeff has served as project safety manager on over 20 major projects, including the Iowa Events Center and the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Bridge Project. Jeff is now assigned as the lead Construction Safety Manager on a 1.7 billion dollar OCIP airport project.



RGarrison SRM has a myriad of certified Industrial Hygienist’s, with more than 20 years of experience in the field of industrial hygiene. They have extensive experience in the areas of worker exposure assessments, indoor air quality investigations, and hazard materials management.
